TalkToBuddha collects limited information necessary for app functionality:

• Chat Conversations (Local): Your conversations are stored locally on your device using a secure database to provide history and context.
• App Preferences (Local): Meditation sounds, theme, and onboarding flags are stored locally.
• Usage Counters (Local): We keep local counts to enforce freemium limits.
• Purchase Metadata: In‑app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple via StoreKit. We do not receive your full payment details.

2. How We Use Information

• Generate responses for your chats through an AI API.
• Maintain your local chat history and preferences.
• Enforce fair‑use and freemium limitations.
• Validate purchases and entitlements through Apple systems.

3. Third‑Party Disclosures

• AI Service Provider: Chat messages you send may be transmitted to our AI provider solely to generate a response. Their privacy policy applies to this processing. See OpenAI Privacy Policy.
• Apple: Billing and subscription management are handled by Apple. See Apple Privacy Policy.
• Advertising & Analytics:The app integrates third-party analytics SDKs to measure engagement and improve the user experience. No advertising SDKs or tracking for ad targeting are included.

4. Data Storage & Security

• Your data is kept on‑device by default. We do not maintain a user account system and do not store your chats on our servers.
• We do not collect personal identifiers, precise location, or device‑fingerprinting data.
• No cookies or web trackers are used within the app experience.

5. Your Choices & Controls

• Delete conversations using in‑app delete functions.
• Reset preferences from system settings or within the app.
• Uninstalling the app removes locally stored data.
• Contact us for additional assistance with data questions or removal.

6. Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app does not require registration or the submission of personal data.

7. International Use & Legal Basis

Laws may vary by region. We process limited data as necessary to provide and improve the service and to fulfill purchases. Your continued use constitutes consent to these practices.

We may update this Policy from time to time. If material changes occur, we will provide notice in‑app or on this page. The “Effective Date” above reflects the latest revision.
